On March 24, at the occasion of the visit of Ms.Matshidiso Rebecca Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa, CCCMHPIE held a workshop together with the WHO China Office to help WHO experts better understand status quo and needs of the Chinese health industry.

Attending from the WHO side there were Dr. Bernhard Schwartlander, WHO Representative in China, and several other colleagues from AFRO. The Chinese side was headed by Dr. Xu Ming, Vice President of CCCMHPIE. Joining from the industry there were about 10 companies involved China-Africa healthcare trade and investment.

The two sides exchanged views concerning the current staus of China-Africa healthcare development, and industry players also raised their problems encountered during the process. The meeting lasted for 2 hours. Ms. Moeti spoke high of work by CCCMHPIE, and expressed that WHO would go all out to support Chinese industry for better and smoother access into the African market.
